Resurrected

It's time...

Even if there doesn't seem to be any extra of it...

It's still time...

It's time to resurrect Hubler Planet, to get back on the wagon, to pick up my baby again...

It's time to breathe life back into this little online space of mine...

It's time.

*****
Life is busy. With 5 kids and homeschooling, I feel like I don't have any free time. I barely have any time for myself these days, let along blogging. I ran across this quote and it truly resonated with me.

I don't have a "9-5", I have a "When I open my eyes to when I close my eyes."

And this folks, is why I stepped away from Hubler Planet. I was swamped with being a mom, a teacher, a wife, and all of the other hats I wear. I couldn't handle one more "thing" that needed to be done, and I felt guilty for when I didn't get to it. But you know what? I'm realizing that with all the things going on in a busy family of 7, it's so easy to forget all the little funny things that happen, the mundane things that make up life, and the little details of big events.

And this is why it's time.

Because I don't want to forget all of these things that make up "life." This is my labor of love to my family...a record of us. :)

Clouds

Life didn't happen as planned this week.  They rarely do any more.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are our science days, but here we are at Friday and we have yet to do either of our science experiments. Thank goodness one of the perks of homeschooling is flexibility.

In honor of embracing the chaos, today is Friday science day. Our topic today is clouds.

We learned a lot about clouds: the three main different types of clouds, the water cycle, and the molecular makeup of water.

First we talked about how clouds are full of water. Did you know that a cloud can have anywhere from 100 to 1000 tons of water in it? This experiment was to show how when the water gets too heavy in the cloud it starts to fall down out of that cloud of precipitation or rain. Hattie really liked to watch this one.

Next we talked about the water cycle.

And lastly, well the big kids watch the video on hydrogen and oxygen bonding together, the littles made a cloud book and an art project showing the different types of clouds. All in all I would call it a success.

How do you do school work?

Poor Ben. The things he puts up with while trying to get school done.

There really are no words...

Why is my back so dumb?

Hey ho, my back is out...
Makes me so mad I wanna shout.

Life is gonna be hard today...
Really wish the pain would go away.

The chiropractor I did see...
"Make it better" was my only plea.

"Don't forget that ice is your friend...
Before long you'll be on the mend."

(Or so he said.)

Pretty Girl

I just love this girlie.  She makes my heart explode.

I feel so blessed beyond measure to be able to be her mama.  I do for all my kids,  but to have been blessed with one more baby...sigh....I just feel so grateful.

A conversation that just took place:
Me: what's my first name?
Hattie: Danyelle
Me: what's my last name?
Hattie: mama
Me : Danyelle Mama?
Hattie: (with much conviction) Yep!

Big beautiful eyes and lip gloss...

Yoga...kid style

The kids have started doing yoga each night.  They are absolutely loving it. Even Hattie gets into it.

This YouTube channel I found has a lady who tells a story and incorporates the moves into that.  The kids barely realize they are even exercising.

Now if adult exercising was only that simple...
