Almost a Year?....

The calendar keeps ticking on by.

The nostalgia is starting to set in.

I can't believe it's been almost a year.

At this time last year, we were going through our excruciating wait for our I-600 sign off. I was on a roller coaster that I desperately wanted off of. And all I wanted to do was hop on a plane bound for Seoul.

And now as April is fast approaching, I'm finding myself daydreaming of our trip. How Seoul was bathed in blossoms...

And not just a few...

and not just any blossoms...

but thousands and thousands of cherry tree blossoms.

Some of our walks around the city were magnificent.

The beauty and the sweet scent.

*Sigh*

As spring is coming here to my little corner of the world, it makes me smile to remember how I spent my last spring. And the incredible gift I received in the process.

Ella's AHG

Back in September, Ella joined American Heritage Girls. It is the christian version of girl scouts. They work on and earn badges, they do community service projects, and they learn how God wants them to be a part of their community. It's a really neat organization and Ella has really enjoyed it.

During her award ceremony, she was presented with her badges. She earned the sign language badge, cooking badge, family helper badge, kitchen scientist badge, and toys and games badge. She was the second largest badge earner amongst all the girls.

Kris, Jason's mom, came to cheer her on and Ella was so excited that Nana could be a part of her special day.

These pictures show me just how much my little girl is growing up.

Mama's so proud of you, Ella Jane.

Musings by Lily

This girl can make me smile.

Her little voice, the cute way she says certain words, the funny ideas that flow out of her.

Tonight I overheard her playing...

"Eenie Meenie tiny toe, catch a tiger, let him go."
Translation: Eenie meenie, miney moe...catch a tiger by the toe.

I couldn't help but giggle to myself. eenie meenie tiny toe...still makes me smile.

And a few minutes later, Ella had a thousand questions about God, the bible, where heaven is, etc.
The portion of the conversation went something like this:

Ella: Mom, how long will we be in heaven?
Me: forever, sweetheart, we will get to live with God forever in heaven.
Ella: Forever?!?
Me: Yes, as long as Jesus is your forever friend and you have asked Him into your heart, you will get to spend forever with Him in heaven.

At that moment, Lily chirped up...But Mom, I have to finish my apple first!

Oi. She's too funny.

Brussel Sprouts

Ever wonder what a stalk of brussel sprouts look like?

Lightly drizzle them with olive oil and roast them in the oven at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes...it turns these little beauties into deliciousness.

Thanks Nana!

The Many Faces of Lily

This little girl...she's growing up.

Long gone is the baby face...she's now a little girl.

Complete with a love of fashion.

It's Lily who changes clothes 10 times a day.

It's Lily who asks for her hair to be done a certain way.

It's Lily who picks out the "perfect" shoes for the "perfect" outfit.

Lily is a budding fashionista.

Catch-up time

Disclaimer: Having four small children doesn't leave one with much time to blog.

Here's a few pics to get us started again...
