Ben's Birthday Party

We had a great time celebrating Ben turning 3 years old. He had such a great day...he helped make cupcakes for his party, enjoyed all the birthday balloons and streamers, loved opening his presents, and got to play baseball and do bubbles out in the wondeful sunny weather.

He got to invite the people he wanted which included Grandma, Papa, Amma, Nana, Uncle Carvie, and Auntie Kristina, Ella, Daddy, and Mommy. He was so exicted about having all his favorite people over. Ben got lots of great presents...Lightning McQueen blankets for his new racecar toddler bed, baseball bat set complete with wiffle balls and a Twins hat, bubble gun, laptop computer, and a zillion other little things. In fact, he's busy racing his cars in front of me right now.

Thanks, everyone, for investing in Ben and showing him how important he is to each one of you. He had a great day! Mommy and Daddy love you, Buddy!

Happy Birthday, Ben!!

I can't believe that my baby is 3 years old today! Wow...how the time flies. Ben was only 3 months old when Jason and I met him for the first time in Korea. Those chubby cheeks, those eyes, that sweet smile. Ben is growing up to be such an amazing little guy. He surprises me everyday with new things that he has mastered (some good, some not so good.) Ben can recognize every letter of the alphabet, uppercase and lower. He can sing oodles of songs although his favorite right now is "Life is a Highway" for the Cars movie. He can run, jump, climb, and tumble off of and onto anything and everything. Ben has mastered his bike (with training wheels still on) and most important, he can tell you that Jesus died on the cross and rose 3 days later. (He frequently reminds me of this, in case I were to forget.) Ben is wild and 100% boy and yet he can be so sweet when he wants to be, frequently saying "I love you, Mommy." I sure treasure those sweet, gentle hugs...especially since they are usually sprinkled in between wrestling and being jumped on.

Happy Birthday, my dear son. I love you so much and am so incredible blessed that I get to be your mom. I am so thankful that God gave you to me.
