I'm up at my Mom's house and what better thing to do while the kids are playing with Grandma...knit! I just finished these...they are hot off my needles. How cute are they? 100% wool from Uraguay and they are soft, soft, soft.

Road Trip

We are healthy and we are back! Yeah for vitamin c and a mama who still takes care of me. We went up to see Grandma, Papa, Jamie, and Ahma (great Grandma) last week. I wasn't feeling so great with that monster cold, but the kids wanted to go so badly that I just couldn't say no. In fact, the first thing Ben said to me when he woke up was "Go Gramma's house?" So despite how yucky I felt, I loaded up the kids in the van and we set out for the "great up north". Each day I felt like I was taking another turn for the worse and Ella's cough had gotten pretty bad. Luckily, I have such a wonderful mom who not only took care of me, but stayed up round the clock with Ella when she couldn't sleep because she was coughing so hard. Dad helped a lot too, keeping Ben busy and going for walks outside even when it was pitch black out there. And when does a kid stop thinking that her Grandma makes everything feel better just by being present? Never.
I'm so thankful for a set of wonderful parents who despite the fact that I was bringing a million germs into their home, let us stay for 5 days and nursed my family back to health. I guess you never stop needing your parents...no matter what age you are. And for a wonderful Grandma, who risked getting a monster cold, just so she could spend time with me and my kids.
Thanks Mom, Dad, and Ahma for all that you did. I love you.

Sick
Just a quick post to let you know that Ella and I are under the weather. We both have a monster cold complete with a miserable cough. When things start to improve, I'll post again.
